 | Map of Moffat and Vicinity From the 1923 Publication "Guide to Moffat" published by Grieve. Image scanned and supplied by Colin Moffat. Colin writes:
"Perhaps better is "Moffat from the South-East.
The photographer is standing on Millburn Bridge, where Birnock Water is bridged by the Old Carlisle Road (A708). On the left is the United Free Church, built in 1863, in Well Road. The major Hill in the middle ground is Gallows Hill, the highest peak in the far distance is Hart Fell.
Great photograph, and I enclose a map from Grieve's Guide to Moffat, 1923, in which I've added the lines of view."
