    • Died of cancer at the Memorial Hospital of Union County, Ohio. Buried at Highland Memorial Gardens at West Liberty, OH. A tribute published in the pages of the Springfield Daily News, Springfield, OH, 25 Aug 1974: "Memorial Obituary "Mrs. Thomas Moffett, West Mansfield - Mrs. Thomas (Edith Grier) Moffett, 50, of East Liberty, a native of Jennings Co., IN, died Saturday in Union County Memorial Hospital at Marysville following a long illness. Sh was a member of the Church of Christ at East Liberty. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Ronald of Detroit, MI, Daniel of Columbus, and Barry of East Liberty; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Karen) McCreary, Miss Rebecca Moffett and Miss Lucinda Moffett, all of East Liberty; one grandchild; four brothers, Lawrence Grier of Dayton, Harold Grier of Seminole, FL., Glen Grier of Largo, FL, and James Grier of St.Petersburg, FL; and five sisters, Mrs. Ruth Boley of Coldwater, OH, Mrs. Lela Brandham of North Vernon, IN, Mrs. Jean Brandon of Economy, IN, Mrs. Mabel Price of Dunedin, FL, and Mrs. Velma Coppock of Springer, NM. One sister is dead. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Joseph Fittro at East Liberty Church of Christ, followed by a private graaveside service at noon Wednesday in Highland Memorial Gardens south of Bellefontaine. Friends may call at the Ballinger-Schnurrenberger Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church in East Liberty from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday." [1]
