Patricia Moffatt Winn, JOHNSON CITY

Patricia Moffatt Winn, long time Johnson City resident, lover of life and family, passed away peacefully at Franklin Woods Community Hospital on Saturday, May 30, 2015, after a brief illness.
Patricia was born December 24, 1928, in Adams, Tennessee. She graduated from Science Hill High School in 1947 and attended Erskine College.
Patricia served with the Junior Service League of Johnson City, as well as, the Moffatt Clan Society of North America.
She was the daughter of the late Thelma Linville and the late Charles L. Moffatt.
She is survived by three brothers, Rev. Charles Moffatt (Sara), Gallatin, Tn., Dr. Lawrence Moffatt (Margaret) Johnson City and Dr Robert Moffatt (Margaret), Asheville, North Carolina.
Patricia was married to the late Don Miller of Johnson City and fiercely loved by their three children, Mat (& Pam) Miller of Fall Branch, Gary (& Diane) Miller of Jonesborough, and Donna (& Steve) Bagby of Atlantic Beach, Florida.
She adored her four grandchildren Tarah Lewis and Melinda Cooper (daughters of Lisa Green & Mat Miller), Casey & Sam Bagby (children of Donna & Steve Bagby), and two very special great grandchildren, Ally & Brayden Lewis. She is also survived by her cherished companion, a loyal blonde canine named Peachy.
Patricia married the late Latham (Red) Winn in 1984.
Patricia, (aka) Trish the Dish, was a beautiful and creative cook, a gifted decorator, and a teller of tales. The memories of her radiant laughter, famous potato salad, & sharp intellect will be remembered by many for years to come. Trisha was so loved by so many, and her light will be desperately missed.
A Memorial Service will be held in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Trisha requested donations go to St. Jude’s Hospital and Johnson City Animal Shelter.
