- A soldier in the Revolutionary War, a private in Capt Moses Hale's company. He served in the Battle of Bunker Hill. He died in the service, but it is not known whether from battle or disease. In a town meeting in Lunenburg, MA on 3-15-1741 or 42, a road was laid out across William Moffett's land; and at another meeting in March, 1752, they speak of land of William Moffett being bought by the town.
William was apparently a farmer. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. Wichendon (MA) Vital Records shows "William Moffett departed this life in Ticonderoga Camp, Sep 1776.
