    • Baker. Time 17:40. Cause of death: multiple injuries, fracture of both thighs, pelvis and the skull - the result of a motor vehicle accident (Procurator Fiscal). "Motor Cyclist killed. William Moffat, aged 25, 617 Maryhill Road, Glsasgow, was killed and his wife and two children were injured last night in Milngavie Road, near Glasgow, when the wheel came off the side-car of his motor-cycle combination, which swerved from the roadway and crashed. His wife, her daughter, Wilma, aged 3 and Mrs. Moffat's niece Margaret McGeachin, aged 4, 15 Firhill Street, Glasgow, were taken to hospital. Mr. Moffat was a baker with a large dairy firm in the City." Glasgow Herald 23.3.1955
