- Baptist minister serving Shenandoah and Rockingham counties in VA; represented Rockingham Co in the VA House of Delegates 1818-1819, 1835-1837. May have had a son named Henry, whose will, dated 28 Aug 1836 and proved in Rockingham Co VA in Nov 1841, makes bequests to Mary Newman, Elizabeth Moore, Samuel Moffett and Catherine Moffett (three sisters & brother) with a provision that in event of Catherine's death without heirs her legacy was to go to George, Anderson and Isaac Moffett (all brothers of the other four legatees)
Came to Fauquier Co. VA in 1730's.
