  Notes written by Hugh Brown (b.1858) to AAM in 1940 "Our Aunt Elizabeth Moffat was Mrs James Begg of Castlefern, near Moniaive(?). They had one son, John, whom I remember, I think he went to Ipswich to work under your father, His after fate I don't know." From note in photograph album: John Begg (son?) m Pallant. Eva Begg (daughter?) m John Payne and had a daughter, Eva. "Capt Meek and John Begg marry sisters (Pallants)" Another note in album says Elizabeth Moffat and James Begg had a son, John, and a daughter Eva A Begg b. 12 Dec. [3]
