  • Notes
    • Millen A. Moffat III died of an apparent heart attack while on a bicycle ride going to some close friends home to help them move their freezer. Cause of death is listed as cardiac arrest, but is uncertain as no autopsy was performed due the 5 day delay expected from the coroners office in getting to Dr. Moffat. Cause of death was most likely heart attack, stroke, or anurism of the brain that ruptured. Dr. Moffat was apparently unconscious when he hit the ground as was attested by the probable broken nose, and superficial lacerations of the face. Funeral services were held in the Woodland Hills Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Wednesday March 11, 1987. The chapel was filled to capacity and the overflow cultural hall was also filled to capacity. Dr. Moffat was buried in the Logan City Cemetary, his grave being dedicated by Wilford G. Edling. All his children and his beloved wife were all in attendence at all the service. The funeral service was presented entirely by immediate family. The spirit was very strong and was enjoyed by all. For further information, please refer to Dr. Moffats Journal, and personal notes of Mary Helen Moffat Edling (Colt). Dr. John M. Moffat, D.D.S. [1]
