    • 1907 - Nov. 15 - FATAL RAILWAY DISASTER NEAR MATTAWA, HENDRY ENGINEER NORTY BAY, NATIVE OF GRENVILLE.
      Deceased Engineer Young well known in these parts: James Hendrie, engineer in charge of the light locomotive held as responsible for yesterday's wreck near Morre's Lake on the C.P.R. was married here on the 27th of March to Miss Martha Elma Moffatt, daughter of the late Robert Moffatt of Whitehurst. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H.H. Bedford-Jones. James Yojnge, the deceased engineer of the express, was born midway between Irish Creek and Bellamy Station at what is now the Gravel Pit. He was raised by the late George Campbell and for many years was in the employ of the Grand Trunk.
      1907: Nov. 19 - The body of James Hendrie, engineer killed in the C.P.R. wreck at Morre's Lake Friday morning, was interred at North Augusta yesterday in the presence of many old friends of the deceased and his family. Wm Moffatt, brakeman of this town and brother-in-law of the deceased, returned today accompanied by his sister, Mrs. Hendrie, who will reside here and keep house for her borther. The deceased engineer carried insurance amounting to $3,000.
