  re marriage certificate of CJ Maffitt to my great grandmother Mary Anne Parry April 9th 1866 unsure what happened except that in the uk census of 1881 my G. Grandmother is alone as head of household with two small children. Charles James Patterson Maffitt born 1867 and Elizabeth Maffitt born 1869. Her husband CJ Maffitt is at this point in Jail and she later remarried my G grandfather George Seddon. [4]
