- Anna taught school in Union Co, graduated from Western Normal College of Shenanoah, she taught elocution and physical culture at LaGrand College. She married Cam DeLos Hughes at Red Oak,IA Presbyterian Church on June 9, 1909.
(Cam DeLos Hughes, b. 14 May 1888 Moulton, Appoloose County, IA, worked for for the Gold Metal Stock Food Company and died in 14 Oct 1918, in the influenza epidemic. His father was Frank Hughes of Moulton, IA an his mother was Nancy Alice Taylor (daughter of John M. Taylor) d. 30 April 1895 at 37 yr, 3 mo, 23 days. Cam would have been By age 12, Cam and his father were living in Montgomery, IA.)
Anna and Cam moved to Oxford, IA and opened a general store. They had one child, Patricia Moffitt. He died when their child was one year old. After his death, Anna continued to run the store. About 1923, when Patricia was 5, Anna married Carl Rapp, who owned the other general store in Oxford. They combined the stores. Carl Rapp died 3 years later when Patricia was 8. Patricia said he was a wonderful man, who she truly adored. [3]
