  • Notes
    • Charles Moffat, the middle child of Andrew and Agnes was born on 05 Sept 1888.
As a young man he emigrated to Michigan to see his Uncle Tom Moffat and moved on to Casper, Wyoming, where he worked as a sheepherder, and later, as a mailman. He married Agnes Wilson about 1922 (?); she was from Hawick. Whether they were married in Scotland or the United States, I do not know. They had no family. Charles died on 23 Sept 1946 just three days after his brother Andrew’s death. (Their only sister Lizzie had died in June of 1946.).Charlie and Agnes drove from Wyoming to Richard to visit Andrew and Belle, but Aunt Agnes Simpson could not remember when. It was the only time the brothers saw each other after they emigrated. [Source 935] [1]
