    • MOFFATT- HOWSEN The home of Mr. and Mrs. William Howson, Front Street, Strathroy, was the scene of a pretty wedding yesterday when their youngest daughter Miss Mary A. was united in marriage to Mr. Hugh. C. Moffatt of Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Moffatt, John street. The ceremony was performed by Rev. M. L. Pearson, pastor of the Methodist Church, in the presence of about 30 invited guests. The bride, who was unattended, was given away by her father, and attired in a cress of mull, trimmed with valenciennes lace and satin ribbon, and carried a shower bouquet of roses. Miss Vera I. Howson, niece of the bride, dressed in white silk, male a pretty flower girl. Miss Pauline Graham played the wedding march and with the flower girl was presented with pearl rings by the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Moffatt left on the 3:28 train for point’s east, and will reside in Hamilton. The bride’s travelling dress was of green lady’s cloth with picture hat. Among the numerous gifts to the bride was a set of pearl-handled knives from her girl friends in Hamilton, where the bride has resided for the past three or four years.       HUGH MOFFATT Mr. Hugh Moffatt died at his home in Hamilton, on May 5th, his 69th birthday. Mr. Moffatt was born here, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moffatt whose home was on John Street. He was an employee of the Noxon Plant before going to Hamilton with the International Harvester Company. He is survived by his widow, Agnes; one son, Gordon; two sisters, Mrs. George Cowan, Winnipeg; Mrs. W. L. Sutherland, Embro; three brothers, Will and Howard, Hamilton; and Bob, Ingersoll. A brother, Frank, died five years ago [1]
