    Notes
    • MOFFATT-HODGE/POLLOCK-HODGE--The marriage of Mr. William Grieve Moffatt of Hamilton, son of Mr. Frank Moffatt, John Street, this town, to Miss Annie Marguerite Hodge, was solemnized on Wednesday last at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hodge, at 26 Brighton Row, Eagle Place, was the scene of a very pretty double wedding this afternoon at 1 o'clock when their 2 daughters were united in marriage, Miss Annie Marguerite to Mr. William Grieve Moffatt of Hamilton, and Miss Teresa Gertrude to Mr. John George Pollock of Paris. They were unattended. Rev. Andrew Imrie of Immanuel Baptist church performed the ceremony, the bridal couples standing before a bank of ferns in a large marquee which had been erected on the lawn. The brides were both exquisitely gowned. Miss Annie in cream silk, with chiffon and applique trimmings, and carrying a shower bouquet of carnations and smilax, and Miss Teresa in a becoming gown of spotted Swiss muslin with valenciennes trimmings, and carrying similar flowers as her sister. They also wore bridal veils of lace, with a wreath of lilies of the valley. The two little flower girls, Marjorie Bowden and Freda Burton, and the four ribbon girls, Ruth Peachey, Doris Smail, Twilla Doris, and Stella Reynolds, were all in white silk and looked very pretty. Luncheon was served on the lawn and the usual congratulatory speeches were given. Many out of town guests were present, Paris, Hamilton, Toronto, Ingersoll, Palmerston, Wingham, all being represented. Both Mr. and Mrs. Moffatt and Mr. and Mrs. Pollock took the train for Toronto and other points east. The brides' going away gowns were almost identical both being of blue ladies cloth, with pretty hats to match. After the honeymoon trip is concluded, Mr. and Mrs. Moffatt will go to Hamilton, where they will reside and Mr. and Mrs. Pollock will come to Brantford, where they will be at home at 26 Brighton Row. The presents were very numerous being of the most beautiful and expensive nature and are a criterion of the esteem and affection in which both young couples were held by their unusually large circles of acquaintances
