The engagement is announced of Anna Grace daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Graham MacKay of Embro to Robert G. Moffat youngest son of Mr and Mrs Frank Moffat of Ingersoll. The marriage is to take place in Knox United Church early in October.
Moffat- McKay
A quiet and very pretty autumn wedding took place on Tuesday afternoon in the Knox United Church. The entry of the church also the front of the church was beautifully decorated with flowers in season by girl friends of the bride. Promptly at 2:30pm to the strains of the wedding march played by Mrs R. M . Ross the bride Miss Anna Graeme McKay daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Graham McKay of Embro entered the church on the arm of her brother Mr R. C. McKay who gave her away and took her place beside the groom Mr Robert G. Moffat son of Mr and Mrs Moffat of Ingersoll. Rev W. P. Lane the bride's pastor officiating. The bride looked charming in a cocoa wedding gown of sick georgette with brown velvet picture hat with a beautiful coat with fur opossum trimmings and carried a shower bouquet of pink Ophelia roses. The bride's only attendant being a little flower girl Miss Jean Sutherland of London niece of the groom who was dressed in jade green georgette. Immediately after the ceremony the happy couple left amid showers of confetti and good wishes on a motor trip to Toronto and points east. There was a large number of their friends witnessed the ceremony and their many friends wish them long life and happiness. They received many handsome and useful articles including china, silverware, cut glass, towels, linen, etc which testified the high esteem in which they were held. [1]
