Paul Roger Moffett, 95, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017.
Paul was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 14, 1921 to Chester and Minnie (Ritchey) Moffett. Paul was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army. He helped build the McCutchanville Fire Department and served as a firefighter and first responder for over 50 years. Paul was a member of McCutchanville Methodist Church and was on the Cemetery Board. He enjoyed going on walks, gardening, and bird watching.
Paul is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Doris (Binkley) Moffett of Evansville, IN; daughter, Patricia Bennett (Alben) of Salem, KY; son, Donald Moffett (Trudy) of Evansville, IN and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mabel, Mary and Alice and brothers, Horace, Charles, Allen and Malcolm.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at McCutchanville Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
