Obituaries:
H. D. (Hobe) Williams, 70, died Tuesday August 13. He was a native of Everton and had lived in Montgomery County since 1946.
He was the owner of Williams Real Estate and Insurance and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was past master master of Mount Ida Masonic Lodge 140, past high priest of Solomon Chapter 126, a member of Hot Springs Council 23, Hot Springs Commandry 5, past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star at Mount Ida Chapter 20 and was advisor of Caddo Chapter of DeMolay.
He was also past president of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Fern Estes Williams; three brothers: Ray Williams of Fort Worth, Texas, Kenzel Williams of Garland, Texas and Cheter Williams of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters: Mrs. Leota Good. Mrs. Ovalle Callaway and Mrs. Faye Fox, all of Oklahoma City.
Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Ida with the Rev. Harold Bailey officiating.
Burial was in the Pencil Bluff Cemetery by Thornton Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Mearl Robins, Monroe Sprulin, Jimmy Jackson, John Moundy, Paul Roberts, and Donnie Noles.
Honorary pallbearers: John Beavers, Otis Dyer, Ned Meek, Gust Ring, Joe Cloud, Jim Baggett, Jim Copeland, Russell Curtis, Harold Barnett, Breco Edwards, Lester Clement, Fletcher Houchin, Jimmy Mahen, Gentry Elmore, Bob Campbell, Dick Whittington, Herb Malone, Lee Austin, and Ray Arnold.
Masonic graveside services were conducted by Mount Ida Lodge No. 140.

Ruby commented on the fact that none of the Williams family had children. She suspected that they had been sterilized because they were very tight-lipped concerning the issue.}
