Named for his grandfather. Grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Was working in the Phillipines for the Manilla Electric Company until 1937, when he returned very ill. He came to Bradford PA in 1940 where he recuperated and worked until 1942. There he met Jane Fox. In 1942, he took a new job and worked in Morristown, N.J. After Wilhelm and Jane were married in 1944, they settled in Dover, N.J. near Morristown. There he worked for New Jersey Power and Light. Eventually in 1972 they moved to Lakewood, NJ. where he worked for Central New Jersey Power and Light. He died there that year. They also had a condo in Lake Worth Florida which Jane kept well through the 1980s.
