• Notes

  Margaret lived at 9 Rossie terrace with her grandmother Margaret (Coull) Moffat. She became a seamstress but died about 26 and was buried with her uncle, John Moffat, in Rossie Island Churchyard. She is not mentioned, before her death, on the later Census at 9 Rossie Terrace and I do not know yet where she went. On her death certificate her parents are James Milne (Mason) and Elizabeth Milne nee Moffat. Elizabeth and James never married but James is deceased at this time so maybe it was noted this way so that Margaret could be buried in the family plot. She died 1 Oct 1895 at 3.30 am in 9 Rossie Terrace of Phthsis (TB?) after suffering for 4 months. [1]
