• Notes

  In the 1870 census he was a Brick maker in Chester Township, Burlington County, NJ. In later census records he was listed as a carpenter. Bucks County Gazette July 16, 1903. James Muffett and wife and Joseph Burton, wife and son Lawrence, of Philadelphia were visiting Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Muffett and family on Sunday. January 22, 1909 Mr & Mrs. James Muffett, formerly of this township, now living in Philadelphia spent last week with their son Thomas F. Muffett, 133 Buckley Street. [9]
