Sours Jr., 73, of Santa Maria, formerly of Springfield died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, of cancer. He was born Jan. 26, 1933, in Virginia, the son of Carl H. and Monetta Parrish Sours. He married Raymonde Nuges in 1965. Mr. Sours worked for Faber Industries as a truck driver in Illinois. He moved to Santa Maria in 1970, where he was employed as a foreman in the oil fields and later as a manager for a hotel chain. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a member of the Rancho Maria Golf Course in Santa Maria and several senior men's clubs. Survivors: wife, Raymonde; two daughters, Marcie (husband, Gary) Buraski of Sherman and Kathi (husband, Jim) Krell of Springfield; two stepsons, Hubble Smith of Las Vegas and John (wife, Janice) Smith of Riverton; three grandchildren; three step-grandsons; three great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Barrow of Springfield; brother, Charles (wife, Irene) Sours of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation rites will be accorded. Dudley Funeral Home in Santa Maria is in charge of arrangements. No services are planned in Springfield. [1]
