Harmon Riley Sours Sr., 84, of Rochester died at 6:25 a.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital.
He was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Virginia, the son of Henry R. and Frances Norris Sours. He married Alma I. Sours, and she preceded him in death in 1985. Mr. Sours was employed for 17 years as a machinist at Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1968.
Surviving are three sons, Harmon Sours Jr. of Rochester, Thomas W. of New Berlin and Carlos L. of Springfield; one daughter, Ruth Lemme of Petersburg; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl of
Springfield; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery. [1]
