  Moved - 1806 - from Orange Co., N.J. to Tompkins Co. - formed a partnership with Robert Tennant Shaw at a place called Rogues' Harbor, now called Libertyville, and in 1814, married hispartner's sister. Moved - 14 Aug 1818 - from Lansing to Columbia Village, Dryden - He "started a lumber mill in a pine forest and prospered.
